Terms and Conditions

Last updated: June 2, 2026. These terms define the report-only scope and responsible use of the Cinelyx platform.

1. Platform Purpose

Cinelyx is a Movie Piracy Detection & Legal Monitoring Platform. Its purpose is: Track Piracy. Protect Content. The platform helps rights owners and authorized representatives identify public risk signals, organize suspected URLs, preserve monitoring metadata and generate reports for human legal review.

2. Report-Only Service

Cinelyx provides monitoring results, evidence summaries and downloadable reports. Unless separately agreed in writing, Cinelyx does not contact suspected websites, domain owners, registrars, hosting providers, social media accounts, messaging channels or any third party on behalf of a user. Cinelyx does not send notices, submit claims, initiate takedown requests or represent any user in a legal proceeding.

3. No Automatic Legal Action

Buttons such as Generate Notice, Export Evidence PDF, WHOIS Lookup and Report Status are workspace tools for preparing information. They do not automatically send a notice or create a legal claim. Any communication, complaint or enforcement step must be reviewed and submitted independently by the rights owner or an authorized legal representative.

4. Monitoring Results Are Signals

A detected link, domain, channel, post, screenshot match, audio match or risk score is a monitoring signal only. It is not a final determination that infringement has occurred. Search engines, public indexes and third-party sources may return incomplete, outdated, redirected, inaccessible or unrelated results. Users must independently verify every result before relying on it.

5. Authorized Use Only

Users may use Cinelyx only for lawful monitoring of content they own, license, distribute or are authorized to protect. Users must ensure that submitted information is accurate and that they have authority to review, export or act upon monitoring reports.

6. No Hosting, Streaming or Downloading

Cinelyx does not host, stream, embed, mirror, sell, distribute or provide downloads of unauthorized copyrighted material. Suspected links are displayed only as investigation references for authorized review. Users must not use the platform to access, copy, download, forward, redistribute or promote unauthorized content.

7. Public and Permitted Sources

Cinelyx is intended to monitor public web pages, public posts, public channels, public groups and sources that the user is permitted to review. The platform must not be used to bypass passwords, access controls, private groups, restricted messages, paywalls or technical protection measures.

8. Third-Party Websites and Services

Third-party links, search results, WHOIS data, platform metadata and provider information remain under the control of their respective owners and services. Cinelyx does not control, endorse or guarantee the availability, accuracy, legality or security of any third-party website or response.

9. User Responsibility for Notices

Users are solely responsible for confirming ownership, authorization, applicable law, evidence quality and the accuracy of any notice or report they choose to use. Users must not submit false, misleading, abusive or unsupported claims. Cinelyx recommends review by a qualified legal professional before any enforcement action.

10. No Legal Advice or Legal Representation

Cinelyx is a software and reporting platform. Information, templates, risk scores and generated reports are not legal advice. Use of the platform does not create a lawyer-client relationship, agency relationship or authority for Cinelyx to act on behalf of a user.

11. Accounts and Access

Users are responsible for keeping account credentials secure, providing correct registration information and ensuring that team members follow these terms. Cinelyx may suspend access where misuse, false claims, unauthorized activity or security risk is suspected.

12. Data Retention and Evidence Context

Monitoring records may include URLs, timestamps, status history, screenshots submitted by users, public metadata, WHOIS context and generated reports. Users should retain independent legal records where necessary. Cinelyx reports are workflow records and do not replace original ownership documents, contracts or platform records.

13. Service Limitations

Cinelyx does not guarantee detection of every unauthorized upload, removal of any content, a response from any provider, uninterrupted availability, search engine visibility or a particular enforcement outcome. Monitoring coverage depends on public availability, third-party services and configured integrations.
